Would you rather? In my mind, this game always brings thoughts of drinking around a table, with friends, and asking each other embarrassing questions – and specifically aiming questions, knowing that they’ll have to drink, at your best friend! I rarely drink anymore now though, and it’s even rarer that I get to play games that are associated with drinking – tie that in with the fact that I love Christmas, and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play a ‘Very Christmassy Special of Would You Rather?’
I feel like one of those annoying mothers of new-born children that insist on telling you how old their child is, specifically in months and days, but I can’t believe that my ‘blog baby’ is a few days shy of half a year old?! After not blogging for so many years, I had forgotten just how much I truly enjoy it and the incredible community that surrounds it is indescribable to anyone that isn’t involved! While the last six months may have flown by, I feel like I have achieved so much already, and I cannot wait to see what the next half a year holds for me and my ‘blog baby’..
Christmas movies are the best thing in the entire world, and there is absolutely no question about it – I literally cannot think of anything better than snuggling up in bed on a cold evening, with a hot chocolate and a share size box of sweets that were meant as a present but will have to be replaced, and popping on a movie with the other half! I would not be lying if I said that I have been watching these movies for at least two months now, and have binge-watched most of them an abnormal amount, but they’re the easiest and best way to get into the festive spirit, and I just couldn’t not write about what I plan to be snuggling up to over the next few weeks..
I wanted to start this off with a debate that I’ve recently seen across social media – when are you too old for a ‘Christmas Wishlist’? I personally have never considered it – I have always believed that wishlists are useful tools regardless of your age, and maybe even more useful as you get older! However, I saw a debate recently that said twenty-year-olds were ‘too old’ to create a ‘Christmas Wishlist’. I genuinely believe that my family would struggle if I didn’t give them a little ‘shove’ in the right direction, so regardless of my age, I plan to always create at least a little wishlist, and I love reading what everyone else wants as well..
I can almost guarantee that you will not find a single person in the entire world that proclaims to enjoy shopping around the festive period – whether you venture into the shops in person, or choose to shop from the solitude of your own house, it’s never an easy task and we all have that loved one, that is impossible to buy for and has everything! I wonder how many of us were savvy enough to pick up pieces across Black Friday?! Christmas shopping itself cannot be avoided, but there are a few ways to make the whole process a little less daunting.. View Post
