What I Hope To Achieve – My Blog Goals..

blogosphere blog goals

I cannot believe that I’ve been blogging for nearly four months – it’s crazy, isn’t it?! These first few months have absolutely flown – I’ve achieved goals that I thought it would take me until the end of the year to hit, I’ve met some absolutely wonderful people, and I recently went self hosted! I’m so proud of how far I’ve come so far, and having reached so many of my own personal blog goals, I’ve decided to set myself some blog goals for both the short term, and for the future..

Post everyday in December..

I am absolutely loving reading everyone’s posts this month, but it was way too short notice for me! I love to be prepared, and want to ensure that everything I put out is well thought out and written well – I have already started planning and writing to ensure that I’m happy when it finally comes around! I am determined to create and put out a brand new post every day that month, and cannot wait to read every else’s work..

Improve my photography..

This is something that I have been conscious about ever since I started – I have always loved photography, and find that I often strive so hard for perfection the first time that if it doesn’t happen straight away, I often give up (obviously not a great attitude to have)! I want to ‘stick at it’ and continue to work until I am happy with every picture I produce..

Go to a blogging event..

I have long since dreamed of being invited to a blogging event! I absolutely love reading every’s posts about visiting new shops, bar and restaurants, and I get so excited.. With the Oxford Westgate opening in the next month or so, I am keeping my fingers, toes and everything else crossed in the hope of being invited to an event!

Make more contact..

I love reading other people’s blogs, and I want to make more of an effort to comment and interact with other people! Twitter has helped so much with my blog, in terms of making friends and being able to get content ‘out there’, and I’m super excited to continue to make friends and hopefully, meet up with some fellow bloggers in the near future..

Reach 2000 followers on Twitter by the end of 2018..

As I said, Twitter has helped incredible amounts so far, and I’ve fallen in love with it! I’ve worked so hard to grow my following this year, after falling slightly out of love with Instagram – I’m determined to continue to work and grow, and would be over the moon if I managed to reach 2000 followers by the end of 2018!

I find that so many people focus on views – I have always loved writing, and of course, knowing that people read my blog is important to me on a level, but I’d hate to focus too heavily on the numbers and would rather focus on creating great content!

What were your goals when you first started blogging, and did you achieve them? What are your blog goals for the future?

  • Alice Swain

Well done for your achievements, lovely! I only started properly consistently blogging about 4 months ago too! 🙂 I hope you’re still super enjoying it, I find it can be such an up and down process especially with inspiration but it’s such a fun thing to do. Can’t wait to read your December posts, too!! My only real goal at the moment is to get to 5k views on my self hosted site by the end of the year!

  • I’m really looking forward to seeing you accomplish your goals and keep on growing! I really want to keep on improving my photography as well as it’s something I’m trying to focus on. I can’t wait to see your December posts! x

This is a great post, it’s always good to see people’s blogging goals. I didn’t have any goals when I first started Tralisty but now i’ve decided to make some. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

I love your goals! I want to try and post everyday in December too! Here’s hoping !

  • I think you’ve got a really healthy mindset with not focusing too much on numbers, obviously it’s fantastic to hit a Twitter milestone or a certain number of views but it is so much more rewarding to focus on personal goals such as improving your photography and posting regularly (exactly as you’ve got here) because they give you a much better sense of achievement! I’m sure you’ll smash all of your goals, I hope to see you at a blogger event in Oxford in the near future!

  • Love these goals, and your attitude towards numbers! It should be content first, stats after 🙂 I’m sure you’ll smash your goals! X

  • Those are great goals! Good luck achieving them – I’m sure you’ll smash them all!

I love these goals, I should really think about setting some as I’m quite lazy and find myself excuses as to why I can’t blog as much as I probably could.
Looking forward to seeing your blogmas – Nadine xo

  • I am excited to read your December posts!!! I set proper goals for this month and at the moment am on target to achieve them. I feel that making realistic goals and holding yourself accountable for them is enough for you to be able to do what it takes to make sure you reach them.

  • Gemma

I adore this post! I can’t believe you’ve only been for nearly four months now, that’s gone soo quick! I am soo proud of everything you’ve achieved. I love all your goals here, I wish you the best of luck and I definitely think you can achieve them all! For me at the moment it is to achieve 10k views on my blog there’s still a journey to go, but I recon I can do it soon, maybe even sooner than I originally thought.

  • What a great post and well done for sticking with blogging, when you start it can be very daunting and you have wrote some great content, I love that last bit about focusing on great content and not getting obsessed with numbers and stats, sadly I’ve noticed after a year of blogging that for some that’s all it’s about for them now. My blogging goal when I started was to just keep writing and write what I was passionate about!

  • Congrats with all of your achievements so far! I’m sure that you will be invited to a blogging event especially if a new centre is opening near you. Also good luck for Blogmas too x

  • I hope you achieve all your goals! I did Blogmas two years ago and it was so much fun! Definitely won’t be doing it this year though as I have so much going on and not enough time to plan… Can’t wait to read your posts though :)x
